Do you travel a lot? When you travel, do you just throw things in a suitcase and hope for the best? Or are you a very prepared traveler? Either way, traveling is difficult when you are disorganized. There are a few things you can do to stay organized while you travel to make everything just a little bit easier.

Make a Packing List

While this may seem simple, it is one of the most overlooked organizational tools. Before you start packing, make a list of everything you will need on your trip. As you are packing, add things to your list you think you will forget. Cross things off as they are packed. By making a list and crossing items off, you will have a good idea of what you packed and what else you need to put in your suitcase. Don’t cross anything off that isn’t packed because that is how stuff is left behind.

Packing Cubes

Packing cubes are one of the simplest ways to separate your clothing by type while you are traveling. Sort your clothing by outfits, style, or occasion. If you want to unpack when you get to your hotel it is really easy because all you have to do is take out a packing cube, take out the clothing, and put them in the drawers.

When you are ready to go home, put all your dirty clothes in a reusable shopping bag or a packing cube dedicated to dirty clothes. Once you get home, take that out and dump it in the washer. It makes things really easy so you can get back to your other chores.

Travel Apps

There’s apps for everything nowadays, which includes travel planners. If you don’t want to jump through five different apps for all your reservations, download an app that keeps it all in one place. All you have to do is forward your confirmation emails to the app and it will generate an itinerary for you. You can also add directions, maps, and notes along the way. Share your itinerary with family and friends who are traveling with you to make group travel easy.

An organized wallet is a must. Make sure it isn’t too bulky and fits nicely in your purse or pocket. If you are traveling internationally, make sure it accommodates your passport as well. Keep some of your cards in the wallet, the ones essential for travel, and pack the other ones away in case your wallet gets lost. If you are concerned about people stealing your data while you are traveling, then get an RFID wallet to make sure your data is safe.

Keep Electronics in One Place

Having your electronics and chargers in one place makes traveling easier.  Many organizers have separate pockets and holders for your items. Some even zip up nicely to keep them all secure. Put your headphones, accessories, chargers, e-books, and anything else you may need in the compartment. Most cases fit easily in a purse or carry-on.

Underwear Organizer

Don’t forget this important item! Sometimes people shove it in loose pockets, try to fold it in the suitcase, or just throw it on top at the last minute. All of these options are messy and chances are you won’t be able to find what you are looking for when you need it. Instead, get an underwear organizer. It will safely hold your delicates so you can easily grab them as needed. When you are done, just put them in the dirty clothes bag.

Toiletry Organizer

Whether you have a few toiletries or a lot, you need an organizer for them. If you have small travel-sized items they can easily get lost under your clothing in the suitcase. Keep all your necessary items in one convenient organizer. Bonus if it comes with a hanger so you can hang it up in the bathroom when you arrive at your destination.

A toiletry organizer is a good place to store your glasses and contact accessories if you need them. If you forget your case, get some eyeglass pouches wholesale so you never run out.

Plastic Bags

Plastic bags are handy in many situations while traveling. If you don’t have a reusable shopping bag for dirty clothes then you can use a regular plastic bag. Other uses for plastic bags include:

  • Wet Items
  • Carry-on Items
  • Jewelry
  • Perfumes
  • Hair Accessories
  • Feminine Toiletries

Medication Organizers

Do you have medications you need to take? The worst is forgetting them right before your long trip. The easiest way not to forget them is with medication organizers. A day-of-the-week pill organizer is the best way to pack your medications and take them on the go. Before you leave, take a picture of your prescription bottle and labels just in case you need to identify the medication while you are on your trip.

Take Photos of Important Documents

Before you leave, take pictures of important documents. Save these pictures where you can easily access them in case of an emergency. The pictures will work as backup documents just in case yours go missing. The last thing you want is to be in another country without any identification.

Being Organized Makes Traveling Easier

Pickup some organization cubes, eyeglass pouches wholesale, reusable shopping bags, and toiletry bags, and medication organizers. The proper organizers make the packing process easier and your journey stress-free. When you get to your destination, unpack your items to make your life easier. Put your valuables in a safe and your toiletries and medications in the bathroom.
